While at Elon, Ashley has pursued multiple extracurriculars outside of her academics. She is involved in Elon Volunteers! through multiple different programs. Most notably, she began her position as Director of Public Relations where she manages a small team that promotes and produces content for the 37 volunteer programs housed within Elon Volunteers!

Additionally, Ashley is a member of Elon University’s chapter of Sigma Kappa sorority. She has been a member of multiple committees including most recently the public relations committee within the organization.

Ashley comes from a small city in Northern Virginia, right outside of the Nation’s capital where she is exposed to much diversity and incredible opportunities. She attended a high school with a heavy emphasis on the Interbacclaurette Program and received the Presidential Scholar Award four times. In spring 2014, she graduated from George Mason High School.

Ashley had the opportunity to work as a communications intern with News Media Alliance during the summer of 2017. Here she manages social media platforms, creates content in the form of blog posts, features, videos, and infographics for the company’s website and helps with the company’s daily newsletter. In the Summer of 2016, Ashley interned with Interfaith Alliance Foundation as a communications intern where she assisted with social media, outreach, and other production materials.

Ashley wishes to explore her work options in the communications world in the future through internships, work experience, and further studying.
